The main condition for the successful mastering the higher education content is the combination of the scientifi c and pedagogical workers’ high pedagogical professionalism and the future specialists’ internal motivation. In this regard, we focus on improving the training of pedagogical staff and the use of innovative pedagogical approaches. Among the pedagogical conditions for the successful implementation of the system-activity approach on the example of the teaching labor protection disciplines, some of them should be noted: the formation of the teachers’ and students’ system-activity approach, the motivation of students to master the systemactivity approach, the successful cooperation of all participants in pedagogical interaction in the implementation of theoretical, laboratory and practical classes. The article focuses on the modern socio-psychological and didactic conditions for the system-activity approach in mastering the labor protection disciplines, the ability of teachers to structure teaching material and diagnose the results during theoretical and practical classes, the didactic principles of the system-activity approach, the teachers’ and students’ readiness to use it, the positive results of the experiment on the system-activity approach’s implementation in the professional training at pedagogical universities.
