RAINING OF THE FUTURE SPECIALISTS OF MEDICAL INDUSTRY BASED ON COMPETENCE APPROACH

Abstract

The author of the article determined the nature of the concepts of «professional training», «training future specialists of medical industry», «competence approach», «training future specialists in medicine based on competence approach». It is proved in the article that the training of future specialists in medicine based on competence approach requires from the students the necessary knowledge, skills, professionally important qualities suffi cient to perform job responsibilities and professional growth, or even to change a job profi le, to fulfi ll an innovation activity, the development of personal qualities. Organization, responsibility, humanity, empathy, initiative and others are selected by the author among the necessary personal qualities of future health professionals. The pedagogical technologies that contribute to the introduction of competence approach in the educational process of training future specialists in medicine are defi ned by the author, they are: interactive technologies (dialogic teaching methods, discussion workshops, brainstorming sessions, interactive and simulations games etc.), the practice-oriented technologies (problem teaching, project method, contextual learning, etc.), new information technologies (distance learning, computer testing, multimedia technology, etc.). The author of the article noted that a public work and practical studying are equally important in the implementation of competency approach. The author also made an emphasis that there should be conducted for students the special trainings on a fi rst aid, an integrated management of childhood illness, massage courses, cosmetology and care and the others during studying process in a college; the aim of such trainings is the enhancing of the level of professional skills mastering.

The author made a conclusion that a competence approach shifts the emphasis from the process of accumulating the regulatory defi ned knowledge and skills to the fi eld of the formation and development the future medical specialists’ ability to act and apply their knowledge and experience in various practical situations creatively.

The perspectives in the future author’s work are seen in the clarifi cation of those life and professional competencies that are necessary for future specialists in medical industry to conduct their professional activity, and to identify the ways of its formation.
