Abstract

The unique national educational phenomenon – multifaceted activity of the faculty of fine arts of the State University of Moldova is revealed in the article. The origins and evolution of this educational center, beginning from its founding in 1964 year and up to our time are outlined in it. The relationship of the system and content of artistic education at the university with the main trends of social and cultural development in the country are observed. An analysis of the structural changes on the faculty, caused by the state- creating processes in the early 90 th years of the twentieth century is done. The voluntary long-term work of the pedagogical collective on the formation of artistic traditions at the university, the expansion of worldviews of students in the realm of art and education is noted. The main directions of activity of the faculty are defined, such as the preparation of highly skilled personnel in the branch of education and art, the development of artistic and aesthetic skills in student youth, participation of students in the organization and conduct of cultural and artistic events, contests and festivals; cooperation with higher educational institutions of this profile in the Republic of Moldova and abroad. The content of educational activities at the following departments of the faculty: theater (drama theater, theater of satire and humor, puppet theater); choreography (folk, sports, modern dances); choral conducting; orchestral instruments (folk and wind instruments); folklore (with the study of Moldavian folk instruments); department of decorative art are differed. It is noted, that the faculty contributes to the expansion of the artistic educational space in all regions of the country, as the students of the university receive the following specialties: director, conductor of folk and wind instruments, choreographer, heads of ethnic folk ensembles and heads of decorative art. The thesis about the special place of the faculty of fine arts in the moral and aesthetic upbringing of students of the region is grounded. The essence of aesthetic upbringing, which is not so much in the information about on the main norms and principles of modern society, but in transforming them into moral beliefs is defined. It is noted, that a person in his actions is free, unassumingly, on the internal conviction of the command of the heart to adhere to the creatively acquired of moral norms and principles of the life of society.

Thus, the true unity of the word and the case implies the freedom of moral aspects of all sides of the person’s activity. It is concluded that aesthetic activity also penetrates all aspects of human practice, although, in contrast to the activity of the moral, it also has a particular specific form of expression – artistic creativity, which receives of reflection in works of art.
