STRUCTURAL AND FUNCTIONAL MODEL OF TRAINING THE FUTURE OFFICERS OF THE MERCHANT NAVY TO WORK IN EXTREME SITUATIONS

Abstract

At the present stage of formation of the higher education system of Ukraine in general and, in particular, the marine one, the problem of highly skilled, competitive, competent specialists’ training appears. This is possible under the conditions of development of the innovative teaching and methodological support of professional training at marine institutions of higher education, in improving the mechanisms and means of such training. In view of this, the development of structural and functional models of various processes in the system of higher education becomes relevant. This also applies to the training of future merchant navy officers to work in extreme situations. The development, substantiation and experimental verification of the structural and functional model of training the future officers of the Ukrainian Merchant Navy to work in extreme situations will give them the opportunity to improve qualitatively their readiness to work in extreme situations. The purpose of the article is to develop and substantiate the structural and functional model of training the future officers of the Ukrainian Merchant Navy to work in extreme situations. To achieve the purpose of scientific research, a number of methods have been used: analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization, modeling, forecasting. Conclusions. The developed structural and functional model of training the future officers of the Ukrainian Merchant Navy to work in extreme situations is systemic, open, integrated, dynamic, and variative. Its openness is ensured by the implementation into the process of professional training of future officers of the marine trade fleet, the integrity is in the complementarity of all its components. It is dynamic as it is impartible to constant change, complementarity, improvement, development, changes through the prism of new forms, methods, means and content of learning. The use of the developed structural and functional model will allow to improve qualitatively the process of training the future officers of the merchant navy to work in extreme situations.
