DEVELOPMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION SEEKERS’ AUTONOMY AND RESPONSIBILITY IS A KEY CONDITION FOR FUTURE SPECIALISTS’ EFFECTIVE PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

Abstract

An analytical review of current key European and national documents in the field of education, defining the development of higher education of Ukraine in the European space, is presented. A definitive analysis of the concepts of autonomy and responsibility as a future specialist’s key competence has been made; the interdependences of the key competences’ formation and development in the process of university training with the future specialists’ further professional activity and social practices are clarified.

The actualization of the concepts of autonomy and responsibility in the context of education quality, future specialists’ training and their acquisition of educational and professional qualifications has been emphasized. The interdependence of the framework requirements, the key (basic) competences’ formation and the general professional requirements of employers to the modern specialist have been revealed. The exceptional importance of autonomy and responsibility in the higher education development and the ensuring of the future specialists’ education quality have been underlined. It is emphasized that the development of higher education seekers’ autonomy and responsibility is a key condition for effective future professional activity of future specialists.
