PERIODIZATION OF THE PREPARATION OF AN INDIVIDUAL TO CONTINUOUS LIFELONG EDUCATION AS THE BASIS FOR THE FORMULATION OF THE CONTENT OF PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS
Abstract
The article deals with the periodization of the human mental development as a result of defi ning peculiar consecutive and stable stages of its mental development in a holistic life activity. The key aspect of periodizations, developed by L. Vygotskyi, A. Gezel, E. Erickson, L. Kolberg, J. Piaget, Z. Freud, is distinguished. The L. Vygotskyi’s postulates of culturalhistorical theory of development of higher mental functions of a person are considered.
One of the pedagogical conditions for the development of the physics teachers’ readiness to form the senior pupils’ ability to study in the system of continuous education is defi ned as the development of periodization of the individual’s preparation for continuous lifelong education. The article also focuses on the approach used by E. Erickson to implement the periodization of human mental development on the basis of covering the whole life cycle by eight stages and realized taking into account the differences in determining the ways of solving a psychosocial crisis, considering the integral neoplasms as the result of a successful (unsuccessful) process of their solution.
The phenomenon of «periodization of the individual’s preparation for continuous lifelong education», being an author’s development, becomes more detailed in the context of the conceptual basis, which includes the notion of «period», «stage», «sub-stage». The visualization of the periodization of the individual’s preparation for continuous lifelong education is realized on the basis of distinguishing the basic, forming, main, productive periods, specifying their duration and formulating the goal of each period.
The identifi ed periods and stages of periodization of the individual’s preparation for continuous lifelong education are characterized, fi rstly, taking into account their implementation in the conditions of continuous lifelong education; secondly, with the emphasis on the gradual and purposeful formation of such skills as: the ability to study independently, the ability to study in the system of continuous education, the ability to study throughout life.
