ORGANIZATIONAL AND PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR FORMING THE FUTURE TEACHERS’ ENVIRONMENTAL AND VALEOLOGICAL COMPETENCE

Abstract

The article reveals certain theoretical aspects of the problem of forming the future teachers’ ecological and valeological competence. Different approaches to the defi nition of the concept of «ecological competence», «valeological competence» and «environmental and valeological competence of a future teacher» have been analyzed. The future teacher’s environmental and valeological competence is considered to be an integrated category, complex phenomenon, which consists of interrelated components, functioning of which leads to the emergence of new qualities of students: ecological and valeological knowledge and skills, skills of ecological and valeological activity.

The article defi nes and substantiates the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the formation of the ecological and valeological competence of students of pedagogical colleges, they are: the strengthening of the applied orientation of the content of the future primary school teachers’ professional training by involving students to environmental and valeological activity, the orientation on development students’ need and practical readiness for environmental and valeological activity at school; the use of informational and communicational technologies in the process of studying natural courses and forming environmental and valeological competence of primary school teachers.

The author tells that the realization of organizational and pedagogical conditions should be carried out by adding certain topics, sections, issues of ecological and valeological direction in order to increase the content of disciplines with the corresponding problems, the increase of students’ attention to these problems, the increase of interest in problems of environmental protection and health. The author practiced the methodological (meetings of creative groups, seminars, «round tables», business games, discussion clubs, etc.) and practical (training sessions for students, etc.) forms of work and such methods of work as problem lectures, discussions, conversations, «brainstorming», creative tasks, etc.
